Superquinn deals are really actually worth a look lately. Last week it was €3.49 chicken, this week has similar great value offers, read on!
I’ll be posting the recipe for Housekeeper’s Pot Roast now shortly – at the fresh meat counter at Superquinn they have Continental Beef Joint now at €8.70 per kg. Normally €12.99, which is a saving of €4.29.
This is a great piece of meat for Beef Wellington, Pot Roast or Roasting. It’s so lean and cooked slowly or in pressure pot…
Fresh Cod Fillets €11.50 per Kg, that’s half price, fresh Hake fillets are now €10.90 per KG, again half price. Definitely one for me to stock up on for my fish pie.
If you’re under pressure this week I’d definitely recommend their cooked chickens for €5. Factoring in your time, the energy costs and the raw meat, you could not cook the bird for that.
I’ll let Gastrogirl tell you about the wine but the Gin and Vodka is €15, Bushmills €18, Captain Morgan €22. To wit, our youngest has turned 18 and believes he is commissioned to sample every shot, beer and alcohol filled dirty shoe now that he thinks he’s legal. Ah bless him, in fantasy land. Myself and Panda man made him fully aware, he is the 4th child and therefore stuff 18, stuff law, stuff “my mates are expecting me” and stuff the wan waiting outside the night club with the bed head hair, kohl eyes and a skirt like a frill on her knickers….Leaving Cert first, son.
I will deffo shop at Superquinn this weekend to shop and it’s not too often I get to say that.
